Everything possible has been done to keep the distortion to an absolute minimum and to shape a fully immersive listening experience. The Phonitor Matrix makes this possible by correcting certain aspects of the stereo reproduction that more standard equipment would simply miss, leaving a slightly warped stereo image. Here, the Crossfeed control allows the user to set the 'cross-talk' further to the left or right themselves, meaning that you're able to complete professional grade mixes with the same level of accuracy as you would using a standard studio monitor set-up. This is not just astonishing but revolutionary.

32-bit DA Conversion & USB Connectivity

The SPL Phonitor One d has been finished with a next-gen chip that uses 32-bit digital to analogue conversion for an unrivalled level of detail. The chip supports sample frequencies of up to 768kHz PCM - bring it within the region of about sixteen times the quality of a CD. The relatively new DSD (Direct Stream Digital) technique is also supported - a format that's now widely used by a number of audiophile music distributors and delivers unbelievably detailed audio reproduction. The unit itself has also been fitted with a USB port for direct connection to a computer, or even tablet or smartphone, and via the two analogue inputs, equipment such as a CD player, mixer, synthesizers or even tape deck or reel can be hooked up. The line output can be used to further tweak the output signal using a mixer, or of course, you could just plug in a second pair of headphones.
